In the case of many television series that last as long as "
Everybody Loves Raymond 1-9" did , a considerable slump in the writing and a decrease in passionate acting are to be expected some time after the youthfulness of the first few seasons have passed. With this groundbreaking show, however, Season 7 contains as much momentum as any previous year in its run, and an entertaining crop of episodes are available for fans in this upcoming DVD set.
Disc 1
"The Cult": This episode concludes the "Mother's Day"/"The Bigger Person"/ "The First Time" issue from Season 6 where Debra and Marie stop talking to each other because Marie got bent out of shape when Debra wouldn't drop everything to let her kids tell knock-knock jokes in front of her friends. Robert can't handle the tension between his mom and sister-in-law, so he joins a group called "The Inner Path." This phase doesn't last long, so they use it to bring together the bickering broads. The whole 4-episode-long storyline was really reaching and the ending lame.
"Counseling":
everybody loves Raymond seasons 1-9 dvd boxset and Debra have an even more heated argument than usual over cleaning the house and then they find out their friends are seeing a therapist.
criminal minds 1-4 dvd boxsetWhen they make an appointment,
every body loves Raymond dvd boxset knows all the right things to say which exasperates Debra. Then
Raymond 1-9 dvd makes a shocking confession. "Homework": [http://www.mycollects.com]every body loves Raymond dvd[/url] goes on a crusade against the mountains of homework Ally's getting since Debra is making him help her.
"Pet the Bunny": Another emotionally charged episode.
everybody loves Raymond seasons gets a head start on his father's eulogy and Frank goes mental over a story about him petting a bunny.
"Who Am I?":
everybody loves Raymond 1-9 isn't having fun hanging around the guys anymore and Debra is hopeful he's finally growing up. Then she thinks he may have grown up too much when he starts going to his father's lodge.
The seventh season of
EVERYBODY LOVES RAYMOND DVD will always hold a special place in my heart because it is the first season I started seeing when the new episodes would air every Monday night on CBS. The first six seasons I saw via re-runs and the DVDs because I didn't get into the show until this season. Therefore, I am particularly excited to see this season being released on DVD. Here is a breakdown of the episodes that will be on this set:
lost
What held true of
lost seasons 1-5 dvd boxset after Season One holds true of the
lost dvds after
lost on dvds Season Five: whether this turns out to be a great show depends on how well they manage to wrap up the overall story line. There have been very, very few shows in the history of television that have set out, from the very beginning, to tell a self-contained story with a beginning, middle, and an end.
BATTLESTAR GALACTICA (the new one, not the old one) was one.
BABYLON 5 was another. Many other shows have more or less ended up telling a story, but in a way that wasn't crucial to the structure of the series. This was even true of a show like ARRESTED DEVELOPMENT. But for shows like
LOST seasons 1-5 and BSG, our ultimate judgment will hinge on how well all the loose ends are wrapped up at the end. The final answers will have a retroactive effect on the rest of the series. If we are left at the end feeling that the secrets of the island have not been adequately answered, this will undercut all that went before. If we don't accept the way the stories of the characters are resolved, it will weaken the series as a whole. I loved the way that BSG ended (though I'll grant that not everyone did) and I fully hope that
lost 1-5 dvd will end similarly well. We've gotten five great seasons and I doubt that Damon Lindelhof and Carlton Cuse will suddenly lose their ability to tell a great story. Plus, they will continue to be assisted by some great writers like Drew Goddard and Elizabeth Sarnoff and Brian K. Vaughan (who got a great shout out this season when Hurley is seen reading in Spanish one of the volumes of Y: THE LAST MAN, the famous graphic series written by Vaughan). But this wouldn't be
lost 1-5 without a host of twists and turns. We are barraged (in a good way) with a never-ending string of shocks and surprises. Things constantly turn out not to be what we expect. That is especially true of John Locke, but true of just about everyone else as well. The amount of detail is almost overwhelming, though in a good way. It keeps the show fascinating and ever fresh. And of course, this being
lost complete series , there are a host of deaths. The only
lost seasons 1-5 series with a larger body count is BSG.
